Breedmaster Cane Corsos is a small family operated kennel dedicated to breeding superior quality Corsos with great confirmation, athletic ability and exceptional temperaments. We breed 3 - 4 litters a year. Consequently, a waiting list is usually on hand for our upcoming litters.

About the Cane Corso
The Cane Corso ("KAH-neh COR-soh") dog is an ancient Italian molosser and direct descendant of the Canis Pugnax. Its name derives from the Latin "cane" that means "Dog", while "Corso" means to "Course" or "Chase". Hence, the name Cane Corso is usually taken to mean 'DOG OF THE CHASE". It has an athletic build and a solid, compact body with free-flowing movement. The combination of its stable character, the absolute devotion to its master and its adaptability to the environment are the reasons of the breed's popularity and success. Historically, the dog was used to guard property and cattle, to hunt large game and the protection of the family. It is a gentle, sociable dog and easily trained to perform the duties for which it has been bred. It is also known as the Cane Corso Italiano, Cane Corso Mastiff, Cane di Macellaio, Italian Mastiff, Sicilian Branchiero. Although the Cane Corso breed has worldwide FCI recognition, it is currently only in the AKC Miscellaneous Class in the USA.
The Cane Corso is a great guard dog, extremely loyal to its family and can be quite aloof with strangers. He has a very protective nature and yet is able to discern friend from foe. He instinctively knows when to become a terrifying, defensive and protective dog for its owner, his grounds, the house and the whole family. He should be submissive to his family and suspicious of strangers.
The Cane Corso is normally a quiet dog, barking only when alerted to a strange situation. Despite the breeds size, they make excellent house dogs and are very athletic.
There are a lot of breeders out there, breeders of all breeds of dogs, that are doing it for the money, not the love of it. To become a breeder, the first step is to purchase a high-quality male and female of good temperment and representation of the specific breed. This can be very expensive, to ensure good quality! We always say, "The pups are only as good as the parents". We pride ourselves on the quality of our adults, that's why we are able to guarantee our puppies for anything congenital or hereditary.
We also provide a service to our new puppy owners. We will Potty Train and/or Obedience Train your puppy for you, so when you pick up or we ship your puppy to you, you will have a wonderful experience with the new family member!I
If you Love, Train & Socialize your pup for the first year of its life, it will love and protect you and your family for the rest of its life!
