Vintage NOVO engine running!

Here is my old 1922 6HP Novo running. I have retarded the timing and still it jumps up from the floor when it fires!
The engine weighs about a thousand pounds including the skids.

My 3HP Novo jumps about the same. Swiss watches they were not.

After thought!

if it's like the old Gray's marine engines?

they where a two stroke, but sililer stroke.

Then you would maybe try 14 deg. before

top dead center.
