2 people don't get it. And how.

This is amusing, but what I don't understand is why every pseudo-intellectual feels the need to post some esoteric comment when there is a modicum of thought/knowledge needed to appreciate the content of a video (e.g. the Brownian motion reference).
You're not the only person that can use obscure lexicon, or even talk about stochastic processes (B.M. guy again). It's obnoxious, so don't do it. Why don't we all just enjoy videos like this and keep the pretentiousness to a minimum.

Fantastic !

@jayrayinnv: Oh duh. It's "Valerio," not "Valerian"? Thanks for the correction!!

@internetultrageek "The Great Valerio" is found on Richard & Linda's album "I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight." Linda sings it on that album and her rendition is haunting, magnificent. The whole album is fabulous.

Wow, I thought I knew all of RT's recent songs (past 15 years and a bit beyond), but YouTube makes it great to discover gems like this one. Still can't find "The Great Valerian" (or is that Fairport Convention? will have to search some more)

I've just discovered this number, very enjoyable. I appreciate the Cole Porterish lyrics, I too have got the 'hots for the smarts'. The lateral thinking and creativity of the blue stocking of your choice means that she'll be inventive in the bedroom. The downside? She'll know what you're thinking before you do.
Actually, I think one particular listener "lags behind" the artist's sophisticated sensibility and superb audience rapport. Believe me, if RT wanted to turn in a technically perfect performance, he could do it with nary a blink -- but he opted for a loose, playful approach because that's what the tune and the situation demanded.

I was in the front row at the Belly-Up in Solana Beach when RT charmed us with this song. We swooned. We laughed. We pondered sneaking backstage to thank him with a Brownian motion.
