As far as I remember: yes.

Because otherwise you could just look at the display clock (if activated).

i just found out about it . Really nice when i'm half sleep and wanna check the time and go back to sleep again . And really nice and cool .

go to settings and display, and screen saver! and choose date and time

or just time i think

This is an standard app. in the E71-2, read the manual!
