John McCain the Manchurian candidate. The North Vietnamese called him "the songbird" because of his willingness to tell them everything and anything that would get him better treatment. McCain was one of the worst hurdles to POW/MIA activities in the Congress. This doesn't make sense unless there is something that he does not want to have brought to light. Vietnam vets are against McCain and so are many POWs. He was not and is not a friend to them. Bad temper, lousy pilot, and certainly NOT someone that should be a President.

  • hes still got to be pissed at the vietcong any POW will tell you once you've been in captivity you become unbalanced mentally dont let this nut in office.

  • It's really worse than that. He has gone out of his way to get normalized relations with Vietnam over the years. Perhaps he has Stockholm Syndrome instead. He has done much to interfere with POW/MIA investigations and has seemingly been working for Vietnam.

  • Immigration law provides citizenship to children born in the US AND childred born abroad by parents that are US citizens.

That is the law. Their are other ways too, but those are the two main ways to aquire citizenship.

  • That is true of course, but the specific wording of the Constitution says "natural born". What exactly does that mean?

  • It's funny how Jane F***a took the heat for years because of a few remarks and some antiwar propaganda photos she posed for in Vietnam - while Sen McCaine had strangely helped NVA by doing radio shows & making over 30 films of anti-war propaganda for the VC. He was given extra privileges cause he was the Admiral's son and the enemy took advantage of the McCains demands for special surgery done by Russian surgeons. In most cases, if broke bones after a crash - it was too bad. mustsee usvetdsp.com

  • I realize this, of course. He is indeed a US citzen. But the question is this; the Constitution specifically says that one has to be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. I am unaware if this terminology has ever been examined or given interpretation but the upshot is that it might mean that one has to be born IN the actual United States not just on a territory or base. This would also potentially disqualify children born to US citizens in other countries. It is a potential problem.

  • There was a naval station there..it was US territory. He is a citizen. My mother flew back to the states in 1948 from the Canal Zone so that I would be born in an American hospital.

  • Panama canal zone. It is a good point and one that is not being given any coverage. He IS a citizen but is it enough to be a citizen or does one have to be "Natural Born" and what does that mean exactly? Sounds simple to me...a candidate must be born IN the US.

  • He wasn't even born in the United States of America! Rock on!
