Perfumed Chambers:
Roland Effgen, bass
Max Mahlert, drums
Danyel Nicholas, clarinet
Bertram Ritter, vibraharp
Tomek Witiak, guitar

Composition by Lorenzo Tio (according to Barney Bigard, his student, who brought the tune to Ellington. Ellington is probably responsible for the original arrangement). It was later played by the great Russel Procope.
Arranged by Perfumed Chambers.

Perfumed Chambers specialise on "organic jazz" without any electronic manipulations. Recorded in rehearsal april 2010 with a stereo microphone by zoom. I am playing a 1920s Selmer albert system clarinet. Being very fond of the sound the old Creole masters such as Noone, Simeon, Bigard, it turned out -- after years of experimenting and searching -- to be the best choice (the mouthpiece is also a 1920s H. Selmer).
