soooo fake!

I apologize if you had such a horrible time in Waikiki. Now I understand.

This tidal wave would be very effective over your high school, even if it is in Utah or Dakota

I saw this on the Discovery Channel and went ballistic.

Isn't cut and pasting wonderful?
You cut and pasted this scenario, without actually being in that kind of wave. In realistic proportional time.

same thing to the depth. That wave will have to be in a funnel aiming at the hotel to keep its height and its force. But doesn't that wave remind you of preparing to "take off" prior to your surfboard riding descent?

Starting over. A wave of that sort does not take place in knee deep water. You are "extrapolating" that wave from surfing at Sunset Beach. You already know that a wave of that configuration is 30 - 40 feet deep underneath. When you KICK up the proportions, you also have to do the

Another possibility is if the geological plate on which the island sits sinks for some reason that techtonic plates sink, then a wave of that magnitute is possible. But waikiki would be underwater to begin with.

unencumbered, meaning not tripped up by coral buttheads and deflection of the sea floor turning the wave away. The twenty story height of the wave needing a forty story foundation depth requires that the swimable part of the beach be forty stories deep. Notice that a tsunami wave does not look surfable in shape but rather like a huge massive bed matress, and offers no rideable configuration. A constant and building force is another possibility to create that ideal wave height.
This scenario would be better fitting with Capitol Hill and the Congressional District.
