I was pheasant hunting in South Dakota in December 2010. While hunting these two wild Ringnecked pheasants were found in small section of cattails filled in with snow drifts. They died due to exposure to high winds, blowing snow, and a lack of good habitat/cover. Their beaks formed a small ice "ball" within their nostrils and suffocated them. Don't forget.....Support your local Pheasants Forever Chapter! Think habitat!!
