  • Where are you going to put all of those plants as they grow out through the winter? Just larger indoor pots, or do you have a greenhouse planned?

  • @inkendra I only plan on keeping a few of them through the winter, more so to see if I can keep them going, not to bear fruit.

  • Looking good Jake. When do you plan on transplanting the tomatoes? And into what size container next ?

  • @mhpgardener Thanks Bobby!

I wasn't really planning on keeping them growing through the winter, this was more of an experiment. However, it kind of feels like a waste to not try to keep at least one or two growing. I will prolly transplant them in a week or so, I want to check the roots this week. I have some 6" pots that I will use, and see how they like it. In any case, it will give me more information on the growing habits when it comes time to grow for real next year.

  • Looking great!!

  • @knyquol Thanks! So far, so good :) If I can get all my seedlings next year to look like that, I will be a happy camper.

  • I am also from Ontario, Hamilton actually. I am fairly new to gardening and you tube, but started my own seeds last year with great success. I am glad to have found someone else from Ontario to bounce ideas and methods off of. Where in Ontario are you from?

  • @dianemummvideos Thanks Diane!

I plan on starting up my "seedling production", in the beginning of March for my onions and such, and then will get the rest of my vegetables going a few weeks later. Hopefully I will be able to plant out in mid May, unless the rain puts things off again.

  • tomato seedlings look great..I will start mine end of March.. enjoy the snow, we have around 6-8 inches on the ground was a beautiful morning with frost covered trees.. keep the videos coming.. :)

    Diane
