Wonderful perfomance by Helene Bøksle. Singing this famous song originally sung by VAMP.

TIR`NA NOIR

Det e svart novembar, havet knuse mot strand
Ein forliste draum fra et sommargrønt land.
Men eg huske enda vakre Mary McKear,
longt vest i Tir na Noir

Va du draum? va du te? Va du hud? Va du blod?
Eg kan høyre deg le. Eg kan huska eg lo.

Bakom horisontar,

  • That's a beautiful song that really got me thinking. Thanks for posting.

  • 3. Though my body's broken And my spirit is weak My soul is awoken As I hear someone speak Please come back my lover Now your future lies here Please come back to Tir n'a Noir 4. You were good, you were kind You'll have all that you earned For the secreats you kept And the lessons you learned So I'll take you with me As your pain disappears I'll be yours, your Mary McKear
  • An English translation I've found. Apparently perfome by someone named Emi Fujita. 1. It's a cold November As the sea crashes in But I still do remember Though the memory grows dim To a magical summer With sweet Mary McKear In the west, in Tir n'a Noir 2. Were you there as a dream Though it all seems so real With the laughter I hear and the touch I can feel Far beyond the horizon Where the fog disappears You were mine, dear Mary McKear
  • @Lymonette The lyrics talks about an old, dying man that has lost his wife years before and how he longs for her. As he dies he can finally "set sail" to the fair land of "Tir n'a noir" to reunite with his long lost love. Tir n'a noir refers to "Tír na nÓg", an Otherworld in Irish myhology. There are full versions of the song on this site, and several English translations exist out there.
