@KingOfErehwon But the concentration of the media (growing ever more concentrated day by day) really does limit the so called free media in the west. The Iraq war is a case in point example. What is the point of a "free press" if that press doesn't raise the significant points that indicated that the case being made by the Bush Administration re; Iraq invasion was pure lies.

@PrometheusMovement American media DOES manipulate social direction, but that is ADVERTISING MEDIA, not news media. BIG difference. Our news media here in the West make great efforts to be impartial. Remember Watergate? You wouldn't have heard of such reporting in Russia. Our news organizations are not government sponsored or (significantly) influenced, such as they are in Russia. Freedom of the press is a real thing here, unlike many other countries. Be proud of what you have!

@JoeFraze Actually, Joe, our mainstream news networks are pretty fair. I know that RT says they aren't but that simply isn't true. Sure, you will get journalists with biased points of view, but that just isn't the same thing as "propaganda." Hey, my own wife's from Russia. She will attest to the fact that RT is true Russian propaganda having lived with that stuff for many years. She likes the freedom of the press here. Dude, we really do have it pretty good in that regard here in the West.

@KingOfErehwon Every big coroprate (or state-own/sponsored) news network pumps out heavily biased propaganda (BBC, CNN, Fox, SKY, AlJazeera, etc.) about 99% of the time, so what's your point ? RT has a biased agenda, yes, but it includes facts the the others won't tell you about.
