I think you misunderstood my remark. I meant more that it's a lot of work restoring the mechanicals. Once one of these cars has been restored, they are quite reliable. I have taken mine on trips as long as 13 hours without any issues.

Reconditioning the panels is usually way at the bottom of the list in a DeLorean restoration - they hold up very well, and typically only need removal of scratches with a blending pad.
Mechanical issues, particularly fuel system, are far more work with these cars.

wow thats good. for a delorean. these cars must be so hard to restore, cuz ud have to sand and sand instead of just paint. haha i would be pissed.
