Fantasy Trailer 1 - Jason and the Argonauts (1963)

Here is the trailer for Ray Harryhausen's masterpiece of stop-motion animation, "Jason and the Argonauts" (1963), Harryhausen's favourite amongst the films he created and a film fondly remembered by millions of Baby Boomers. According to Wikipedia, "the sequence in which seven skeletons rise from the earth and attack Jason and his comrades is still widely considered to be among the greatest achievements of motion picture special effects". Additionally, in April 2004, "Empire" magazine ranked Talos as the second best movie monster of all time, after King Kong.

The film was directed by Don Chaffey, famous as the director of that other Harryhausen classic, "One Million Years B.C." (1966), which starred Raquel Welch. Jason, the hero who travels to the end of the earth to recover the fabled golden fleece, was played by Todd Armstrong in his most famous role; Nancy Kovak, who played the girlfriend of the villain, Vinero, in "Tarzan and the Valley of Gold" (1966), played Medea, the high priestess of the goddess, Hecate.; and Nigel Green played Hercules.
