Listen guys I'm gay and I don't mind saying it, However coming out takes a lot of thinking. Look at your surroundings and look at who you know is gay. Look for the popular kids and come out when they do. Recently I have been noticing this kid who is suicidal and seems gay I am going to try my best to help the kid out and you all should do the same. people don"t understand and they probably never will but don't let them get to you! You have so much to live for don't take your chances away please

it is really good to know "its get better". No body has right to tell whether he/she has to live or die. Everyone will be loved. atleast Our parents will love us no matter what. So it would be good if parents teach the children to respect each individual no matter what and try to stop bullying other kids.

That takes REAL guts (esp in texas), the kind other politicians pretend to have with their hateful "family values" BS. Well, you don't have a trail of blood behind your values.

What most ppl don't know is this horrible thing has happened countless times (I lost 2 young friends, no one ever heard of), in total isolation thru time. We wont stand for it anymore! public opinion is a powerful tool for good ALSO! It DOES get better!

I am not an american, I am from german. But I follow the international politics closely. And I am worried by the extreme and hateful content, that seem to surround a lot of controversial issues in the USA. My country has an awful history of what happens, if these things run rampant and it chills me to my bones whereever I see the hate happening again. I am so glad to see something very different today and I thank you so much.

I'm in tears, I was so pleased watching this. Your story is inspirational Joel. I'm 15 years old and I'm gay. I've known I was gay since I was in pre-k. My dad told me "please don't be gay joey" when I was in elementary school, I have tried to push this feeling away ever since then. Just a few months ago, My dad came into my room and told me that it doesn't matter whether I was gay or not, he would love me the same either way. It took him years, but he came around. It takes time. Thank you Joel.
