Its possible if you have genetics. Are you tall, or will you be tall? You will know, just look at your parents. How long is your torso in comparrison to your body. Do you have short legs, big arms, a big torso, big feet, big hands? If you have the body of Phelps or Thorpe then you could certainly be one. But if your short or have awkwardly long legs then you might only make it to college. And all of this is considering you work hard.

Thats not true. Sure, you could be in as good shape and have as good form as Micheal Phelps, and never even come close to going to the Olympics. The thing that makes him better is not only is he in godlike shape and have a perfect stroke, but his body is rediculously perfect for swimming. Alot of people say no one will ever surpass Phelps. I think thats BS. Someone with more perfect genetics will come and make Phelps look bad. being in shape is nice but I'd take big feet over big muscles.

same started at 14 as a freshman for school team. im 15 now and my times improved. my butterfly is really improving. if we work REALLLLLLY HARD we can go pro.\ lol
