My Grampa seriously needs to stay alive. Fortunately when there's something we have no control over, there are still things we can do!

  • @iFREESSHH Thats probably why he is an Atheist, because he read the bible and understood the evil teachings of it. Time and time again i hear from christians miss-quoting the bible and they seem to have no understanding of it.

  • "Here is the lone surviving fragment of my old blankey. Now it's kinda like my faith; when I cling on to it, I feel like things will be alright. Even If I know they won't."

That's the best thing you have ever said.

  • this reminds me of Charlie Gordon, when he was intelligent he was an atheist (or at least that was hinted at) and when he lost his intelligence and before, he was more or less christian.

  • I do applaud you for pointing out the ignorance/arrogance of most Christians, but I feel that you don't have a good understanding of Catholicism and therefore assume that all Christians are the same.

  • @baldurus1 No, the Israelites and Moses believed that it was okay to have slaves. However the "bible" and the central message is found in the teachings of Jesus, who kind of clarified the old testament. So therefore no, the bible does not say that it's okay to beat your slave, for the central message is found in the gospels

  • @VeritatemQuaerens Ahhh... so you're one of those.

Thinking slavery wasn't as bad then as it was 140 years ago in America.

If the bible says it's okay to beat your slave and if he doesn't die within a day that's alright.

  • @baldurus1 I'm not "confusing" the bible with history. Im saying that to properly interpret the bible (under Catholic standards), one must know history.

  • @VeritatemQuaerens Show me that fact.

  • @VeritatemQuaerens Don't go confusing history with the bible.

And you can't use the bible to confirm the bible, if you do then you have to do the same with the koran and the bhagavad Gītā.

  • Christianity does not equal superstition! They are opposites in fact.

  • @baldurus1 time and time I see atheists misquoting the bible, or claiming to know more about it than Christians. Its a shame that apparently atheism does not mean you have a sense of history...
