In this first of a series of webcasts with Spotlight moderator Jodie-Levin Epstein, Michael discusses poverty, opportunity and mobility issues and their impact on the 2012 presidential elections.

Michael Gerson is an Op-Ed columnist for the Washington Post and Policy Fellow with the One Campaign. He served as chief speechwriter and senior policy advisor for former President George W. Bush.

In his latest role, Gerson is joining the advisory council of Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity.
