This also felt really easy. Easier than the 600 I did last year.

Today we tested our maxes, and I squatted 545 in the beginning. It felt extremely hard, I almost failed at it. So needless to say I wasn't feeling very strong after that. I then went to bench, it also wasn't feeling the strongest, I got 365 relatively fast, I didn't try to go for 385.

So if I pretended this was a meet day, with the 545 squat, 365 bench, and 635 deadlift, I would have a 1545 total. My goal is 1600. So, I need 55 lbs more on meet day. I was not feeling my strongest today, and I am still more than 3 weeks out from the meet.

I think by the time the meet rolls around, I'll be able to hit my goals. The 385 bench is iffy, because even if I am strong enough to get it, I have a problem with my butt coming off the bench.

However, based on how fast this went up, I can AT LEAST get a 650 deadlift come meet day. If I can go for something crazy like 660, that will mean I can take the stress off my bench and squat to still achieve my goal. So it's a good thing deadlift is last.

    I will be competing january 9th in NASA junior unequipped 242's.

  • fucking awesome. you should make a short peaking routine so you are at your strongest around Jan 9th. DON'T PULL A BEEZY and max out 4 days before your meet!
