Mission Call!

I received my mission call on June 9, 2010. It's a letter from the prophet of our church that contains a call from the Lord for me to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 18 months! I am so excited :D I leave September 1!

Pittsburgh eh? Honestly lots of White Catholics and Black people there, two groups Mormons dont usually do that well with. But The Prophet is sending you there for a reason, so I guess things will work out fine.

@tradercris I read it actually has the lowest percentage of Mormons per capita in the continental US. You're right, though, I'm going there for a reason :D While it's signed by the prophet, it's actually a call from the Lord, so I have even more people on my side :D

Hi, me again. How is the mission going? In western PA the old ties that bind of family, religion (Catholic or Orthodox Christian) and/or ethnicity are stronger than in other parts of our country, and this can make difficult for anyone looking for converts.

Hmmm Didnt know that mormongal88 but interesting. I dont have empirical data/statistics but Filipinos and Hispanics excepted I've never known of Catholics to join LDS, but I have known of many Protestants. Anyway yes your call is from The Lord. And as said in The Catholic Mass: "His Will Be Done", so go do it! :-)
