Classic Game Room HD reviews CRACKDOWN 2 for Xbox 360. Crackdown 2 is the Xbox 360 exclusive sequel to the popular Crackdown, a GTA meets comic book style action game where you play an Agent bringing the law to Pacific City! This time around evil has reared its ugly head once again and freaks and a new gang roam the streets for blood. But is all as it seems? While Crackdown 2 is entertaining, well made and fun it doesn't do much seperate itself from the original game. Pacific City is in ruins but it's still basically the same place and the addition of night dwelling zombie like freaks doesn't do much to spice it up. The combat, new toys and multiplayer ehancements help but Crackdown 2 feels like an expansion pack rather than a new game. Fans of the original may expect more but can't argue that Crackdown 2 brings more crack down on the Xbox 360 with explosions, carnage and mayhem. Excellent controls and the awesome narrator make Crackdown 2 a joy to play and the addictive orb collecting / agent leveling up aspect to the game returns as well. Crackdown 2 may fall short of the hype but still delivers solid gameplay and a sold single player campaign (as well as multiplayer).
