  • I am deeply touched by your video. I and my family went through this awesome act of nature riding it out in our basement. The closeup picture of the young man graduate hugging his father is my son and I. Although we had to go through this terrible tragedy, we have been so blessed many times and many ways in this past year since the storm. We are all survivors and our town is slowly and surely coming back. We put our trust in God and open ourselves to his guidance and the path is opened to us.

  • I feel for anyone who has to go through an E-F-5 Tornado. God bless all in Greensburg Kansas!

  • I survived that tornado, i was 12. my mother, step-dad and i moved directly after, since we didnt own any property there. That was the worst event my life will ever see. even today, it still makes me want to cry and ask, why us? why greensburg? i havent been back since, but im graduating this year and plan to go back soon, but only for a visit. i dont think i would be able to handle seeing what once was beneath what is now.

  • xXaggiesXx23 - Yeah that's my son and I. Graduation in a tent on the #1 fairway at our golf course on the east edge of town. Our local paper editor took that shot and won some kind of award with it. Just glad to have it to mark the occasion. Thanks for your kind words, we can still use the encouragement in our continuing recovery!

  • @ReinRanger7 is that you and your son at 5:37? nice young man! stay safe!!

  • this was on the weather channel! i feel for these people. i went through an ef5 tornado up here in Ohio on June 5th, 2010 last tornado season, it reached anywhere from 200-220 m.p.h. just recently my house got a little damage from an ef1 tornado on April 20th,2011. tornadoes are out for me! ha ha well nice video and stay safe people pf Grennsburg!

  • man every time i'm seeing images of greensburg, the fact that the tornado went straight to your town still freightens me over and over. Even the images of that day. Good luck to all who survived this tornado and are trying to rebuild your town. I'll hope it will be, 3 years later, already done and you'll never have to experience that again.
