The official getting old rock song. One of my favorites (I'm too old to give up but too young to rest!)

@Dunwyche Hi. I guess everyone has different preferences. Denny Doherty of the Mamas and the Papas said once, that his favorite was "Dancing Bear" out of all the dozens of great hits the Mamas had. Dancing Bear is not known at all hardly. Have a nice weekend!

@SeattleLA John said that this was one of his favorites to play. P=

One of the best songs Townshend ever wrote. Amazing.

THE WHO are the greatest band ever! No-one captures synergy like they did!

Sadly only the two guys in the middle alive today!

A great, great song. Who could match the rocking at the end?

@tabbygail7 Man, I'm only 24 and after a love affair with Quad I'm now clinging to Numbers. I feel old. Also, there was an 8 year gap between My Generation and Quad, but then only two years from Quad to Numbers. Just goes to show how badly Pete started to age (emotionally) in the 70s.

Great song!

One thing I love about the Who was that each of their albums has a tone that is significantly different from the others. It was as though their sound was constantly evolving. Some people didn't like this album but I think it was one of their best. It seemed like much more of an initmate effort in contrast to the epic themes in Quadrophena. It was different, but that's why I love it.
I always thought this was one of Daltrey's strongest performances on record. Too bad the stupid public ignored.
