Friday Night Gunfights @ Range 37 in Bunnlevel, NC. It is a single stage shoot house event that is held on the 1st & 3rd Friday of every month and is a low light/no light course. This event featured 8 "shoot" targets with a 6" kill zone for each target, but was placed on different parts of each target and were also mixed with "no shoot" hostage targets. So not only was there difficulty for making 2 hits on each taget, the difficulty was compounded by adding a small hit zone for each target added to the waning light of the sun disappearing. I was lucky enough to shoot 3rd so I had plenty of daylight but unfortunately I had a very hard time keeping the muzzle of my carbine behind the barricades when pieing a room which cost me 5 "procedurals". Normally that would only add 25 seconds to my time, but this event each infracture compounded the time by 5...so I had 75 extra seconds in penalties, YIKES!! I haven't seen the scores yet, but I'm hoping that others suffered more than I did. This was the 2nd time that I used a hearing protection mounted camera and unfortunately this time the camera was tilted a little too high. I'll make sure that next time the camera is better positioned. I was shooting a Colt 6450 9mm carbine with a Browning Buckmark suppressed pistol for a secondary.
5? ...damn
