People everywhere are being duped into sending thousands of dollars to imposters who are impersonating lawyers, police officers, hospital workers, and in worst case the family members in need. Common situations include needing bail money to get out of jail, the need for medical attention after a life threatening accident, and getting stranded in another country after being robbed. Preying on fear and vulnerability, senior citizens are their number one target.
