Upstate New York and New York City both have their pro's and con's.
Fresh air, great views of nature all year round, getting to rough it and setup camp; upstate.
Man made marvels, 24 hour food and drink, getting the chance to meet people from around the world; the city.
New York is the shit because we are the Empire State.
People talk about Texas being a bad ass country, please ... Texas doesn't have shit on New York.

I don't like Canada. As for NY, aside from the politics I love the state. NOT THE CITY!!!!! When you go out of NY city, The state has some wonderful scenery. Mountains, hills, woods, farms etc. Great hunting also. People from out of state are shocked when they come up here. They expect a concrete jngle but are surprised to find how rural the state is. I've had folks from the south call me a rednek. BTW I'm only two hours from PA. NY is a big state. Come vsit sum time b4 making a judgment.
