Es verano y comienzan las clases de refuerzo en un típico instituto japonés,para escapar de estas, un grupo de chicas ocasionan "involuntariamente" una intoxicación monumental en la banda del instituto ,para compensarlo y así evitar las sufridas clases, deciden ofrecerse voluntarias para sustituir a los miembros de dicha banda,poco a poco irán cogiendo gusto a la música,hasta tal punto que deciden formar una Big Band (una banda donde se suele tocar jazz o swing) y finalmente participar en un concurso de música.
