  • @xXfutureflyaXx It's a pretty congested area. Multiple crossings, parking lots, train station, etc.

  • I just read this in a 1994 article..."The only 13 grade crossings left in the entire Northeast Corridor are between Old Lyme and Stonington,CT" ...That may have changed since.

    I know of 3 locally here that I'll try to photo! More coming soon!

  • question, I thought the entire ACELA route was grade crossing Free? How many crossing are north of NYC

  • some states don't want to pay for a dedicated High Speed Line. Like Connecticut and Rhode Island.

  • yea, just crazy, a train cant even have gates at 25MPH!

  • How can they still have grade crossings? Real high speed trains do not have crossing gates. Crazy!
