This is Kate my horse and she had colic on November 2004
(Sorry for the audio)
When Vet. Arrived she pumped her with mineral oil then Kate recovers in 3 days. Colic affects in most of the time in North Carolina as results the severe weather changes in November

  • wow you should have had her up and walking! did your vet not tell you to do that? she could have started rolling and twisted her gut! you are so lucky she lived.

  • Oh dear the contreversial topic of equine colic...dependant on the type of colic it can be acceptable to leave then laid down if calm and not thrashing ie certain impaction colics as if you were to get them up and walk them they can twist their guts just like they can if thrashing...However I cannot possibly comment on this particular case as I do not know either animal nor owner.

  • @emaley9090 You also might make it worse if you ran to your horse while it's sick!): xxx

  • Ummm just so u know the title was waiting for the vet so shut up about oh if I saw my horse lieing lik that I'd run but u took ur time

  • OMG.. im sorry...

  • If I saw my horse lying down ike that, I would run. But you seem to take your time.

  • @Supatsu Anything but take a video the horse laying there in pain. You need to get them up walk them, give IV injection of Banamine, put them in a trailer and drive to get them to loosen up. Petting it on the head with a camera in its face doesnt do any good.

  • @horsetrainer13

    Well what can you do?

Get on a ride to the vet, lol!?

  • everyones saying to walk the horse around. haha. you dont actually need to... it doesnt do anything to help the colic. pretty much you just walk them if they try to roll.. coz rolling ends up with a twisted gut blah blah blah.

  • You sure dont seem to be in much of a hurry.

  • god every one she called the vet and walked the horse around after she took this god you guys piss me off acting all "o my god the horse is going to die right now" the horse was fine

  • @barrythepie I agree, i couldn't of recorded my horse knowing he could of died. When my horse had colic, i walked him round then trotted him and he recovered

and the vet was on his way.
