Labor Day Weekend Trip: We observed a VERY long & snakelike sea cucumber (or holothurian), Synapta maculata, feeding on the sandy bottom, while we were snorkeling off a Pacific beach along Hwy 70 on the eastern coast of Northern Okinawa, Japan somewhere near Sosu Village. Betsy stepped on it & almost soiled her wetsuit, thinking it was a sea krait.
