The upcoming Northwest Healing Explosion conference a Citywide Prophetic and Healing Encounter promises to be a power packed event in Seattle.
The difficulty is despite the NARzie prophets and apostles and hangers-on making these extraordinary promises, and charging for entrance to the event, they evidently cannot manifest what they preach either among their own [eg James Goll and Chuck Pierce's wives, Michal Ann and Pam, or C Peter Wagner and Doris Wagner, Charles and Frances Hunter and Jill Austin to quote some very recent examples], or among their own flocks.
And all the NAR healers and miracle workers I have so far contacted consistently refuse to provide any verification of any sort for their wild claims it is not just Todd Bentley who will not, cannot, supply the evidence and should also be shown up on ABC Nightline for fraudulent claims.
What does this all lead to then in the church but disillusionment? And what kind of people go repeatedly on the road for money or fame while making these kind of claims, leading the church into disillusionment, full well knowing the truth behind the claims?
I stress once again that I believe in healing, I believe in miracles, I believe in REAL signs and wonders I have been instantly miraculously healed myself, for instance - BUT I do not believe in these guys.
More than not being able to do as they claim, many [note I do not say all] do not even attempt to get ministry from among their own very good friends when they fall sick, or call anyone in to even attempt to raise their dead - what does this say then of them? It is a damning statement indeed, for it says they know who they are, and they know who their associates are clouds without water liars.
They say This army will not march to the battle on crutches. It will have signs and wonders following it yet they testify they are no such army for who can forget the NARzie apostolic alignment ceremony at the Lakeland Healing Outpouring with Todds soon to be replaced wife, Shonnah Bentley, hobbling around on stage, and NAR Pope/Fuhrer C Peter Wagners wife, Doris Wagner wheeling around on her disabled scooter?!
They ... declare they can heal whole regions?! Wow, that takes some audacity.
One also has to wonder, that if these guys genuinely believed in what they preached, then they would go straight to the Seattle hospices and oncology units etc and minister there for free, do as they claim, instead of being hirelings fleecing and deluding the local flock.

what am I doing to love Jesus and my neighbour... I think it's clear you're shooting on all that moves and are moved by a spirit of strife. Granted, you have many rights to be upset and angry with the distortions of the Gospel that masquerade for "revelation" these days. Doesn't justify shooting from the hip. Jesus also said to let the tares and the wheat grow together so that we don't pull out good crops. His angels will sort this out. As for us, we ought to rebuke and teach. Not throw stones.

@overboardbriggs Yes, but it's not a lifestyle. Once you said your piece clearly, you don't have to start a "ministry of rebuke," imho. It's beside the point. Galatians 5:15, and 22 to 26.

@creativeforge It was a weekend conference, so you can't just say "your piece" once and leave. Many dumb sheeple were walking by either coming or leaving. I am glad Jesus didn't say his "piece" just once before immediately returning to heaven!

However... using reactionary clichés to cover your conscience or engage in a conversation, looking at people as "symbols", labeling groups makes it easier to target them. God knows it's more nuanced than that. I'm done here. Enjoy your own crusade why it lasts. You'll grow up. We all do. Don't make the mistake I did: burn your credibility by being reckless and on automatic pilot.

Going into a church whorehouse doesn't make you a believer anymore than going into McD's makes you a BigMac. 99% of christians are not following Jesus, but a false christ, a false gospel and have received another spirit with its lying signs and wonders.
