Native Ceremonial Elders Against Site 41 Part 1 Danny Beaton

Ceremonial Elders from Utah and California are joining Mohawks and Chippewa of Ontario to unite in defence of the Sacred Alliston Aquifer and Sacred Surface Springs of Tiny Township, here in Ontario. This press conference happened just days after the Council of Canadians' national chairperson Maude Barlow led a march of hundreds of people against proposed Dump Site 41. Arnold Thomas from Utah, as well as elders Robertjohn Knapp from California, and Jimelda Johnston and Wilmer Nadjiwon of Cape Croker, Ontario are demanding that Premier Dalton McGuinty immediately rescind his governments approval to create a garbage dump at the Sacred Surface Springs of the Alliston Aquifer, near Georgian Bay. Ironically, Premier McGuintys Ministry of the Environment itself has given approval to commercial activity that could see the pristine waters of the Aquifer drained this very spring.

Thankyou Danny Beaton Thankyou to the First Nations people of Canada for defending mother earth for those who still have there eyes wide shut, & have not taken an opportunity to be a part of this cause. My eyes have opened, I have had an opportunity to take part and have faith that others will join our actions together- Sept 22/09 Simcoe County Council meeting - A vote must be passed to completely stop Dump Site 41 and any other opportunity from going forward that puts Mother Earth in harms way
