Really cool, I've not caught one on camera yet, I've only seen them as they fly off out of the thicket 20 feet ahead.(which is a rare thing out my way)

I look forward to hearing the story Ed! Stalking prey has always been fun for me, I do it most of the time with only a camera mounted on a rifle stock. Guess you could say it is a way to hunt without having a permit. Plus it teaches us how to move up on the intended prey, preparing ourselves for the hunt to come. Getting to close can be a problem though if the animal is big enough to hurt you though! Thats another story I will tell later on! Not so funny but a good around a campfire story!

Anytime we can see some nature that we otherwise wouldn't have been exposed to is a good time! Thanks for the grouse tour! Next time, you may get lucky enough that one may let you get a little closer. Either way, good stuff, Ed! 5*! Peace.

Scares the crap outta sometimes doesn't, LOL. I was hunting once and stalking a moose and everything was quiet. Then I made a step forward flushing a grouse. I nearly dropped my gun, LOL.
