  • I often wonder how You Tube can keep up with all the videos and swears? I have a hard enough time keeping up with the VC videos, imagine watching every video on YT? I have to say that I have some Windham Hill records stored in Boston.I never thought much about them until now Jeff. I always looked at them like classical music. Sort of like "it will always be there if I am ever in the mood". You are a music historian. I look forward to the next discussion of your choice.

    Rob/Boston

  • @Paneeks1960 Rob , my friend, I was kidding about the swearing. If they did not take Dereck off the channel after his rant, I am safe. Hope you are well. Take Care. Jeff

  • Jeff, talk about synchronicity! I just hit the jackpot at my local goodwill this past labor day weekend. I picked up 15 Windham Hill records! 99 cents each! I love Windham Hill. Mark Isham, Tim Story, Michael Manring, George WInston. I love the more New Age-y stuff. I was so excited to come home and watch this video once I saw this on my iphone. What a fantastic way to wind down on a Friday night. Have a good weekend. Thanks Jeff!

  • @TheInfiniteGroove My Friend, So nice to hear from you and know all is well. Enjoy the lp,s.

  • OMG..I have always wondered about this label. I bypass it all the time...I see them everywhere!!!

  • Hell yes Jeff! SHIT SHIT SHIT!! Speak it loud buddy! I recently found Windham Hills and made a video where I found a couple records from them at Goodwill. That label definitely deserves some respect. They got my vote. Mark Isham's Vapor Drawings is my favorite I got in that batch. Killer video, but I beat you to the punch! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • Hey man I actually just got a windham hill records sampler. I'm loving it. I heard about them from watching the soundscapes channel on music choice haha.

  • I used to have loads on WH. At the time I bought them purely for the sound quality...ending up with a fair number by George Winston, Michael hedges,Shadowfax, Mark Isham & some electronic music comps. IMHO Winston's DECEMBER is his best album....it's one I didn't sell. Sadly the 'taint' of NEW AGE killed off my interest in the rest :(

  • My favorite Windham Hill artist is Alex de Grassi, just a fantatic guitarist. Southern Exposure is a great album aswell as Slow Circle.

  • Thats so funny. Cant say shit more than 20 times. Awsome start of My day. Thanx.

  • I have Ackerman's "Turtle Navel" & Past Light" also just picked up Winston's "Autumn" & Winter Into Spring". I really like the instrumental. The inner sleeves are real cool also (is it rice paper?)

Are the other Winston's records like "Autumn"?

    Nice video man
