*Liz's POV*
I let Joe cool off for a little bit before I went to find him. Well, it was about 10 cups off blood later. The blood was cold, wet, and it put out the scorch in my throat. But when I was done, I immediately went to look for Joe. I walked out the back door and started running. Whoa, I was going to have to get used to the whole super speed thing. I ran and ran and ran. I was kind of surprised when I didn't get tired. I spent about an hour looking for Joe but I couldn't find him. I leaned against a tree and slid down it as I started crying. Then I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my shaking shoulders. I looked up into the beautiful eyes of Joe.

Liz-Joe!
I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and nuzzled my face into his neck.

Joe-What are you doing out here, love?
Liz-I was looking for you.

My voice was muffled against his neck.

Joe-I'm fine.

He tensed and I pulled away and looked into his eyes.

Liz-You don't sound fine. Why did you run out?
Joe-It's just frustrating that you can handle being a vampire after 3 hours and I can't handle it after 177 years.
Liz-You've been a vampire for 177 years?
Joe-Yes.
Liz-Will you tell me how?

Joe sighed and shifted me so I was now in his lap.

*Joe's POV*
I sighed and shifted Liz into my lap. I guess she needed to hear it. "Well, I lived in Spain at the time." I said and was quickly interrupted by Liz. "But you don't have an accent." she said and I nodded. "I know. I was born here but my family moved to Spain." She nodded and seemed content with this explanation so I continued. "I had just turned 18, it was the year of 1832, and I moved out of my family's house. I was trying to find some work when I was suddenly very sick with the black plague.No one was around to help me since my family had moved back to America so I dragged myself to some woods and waited to die." Liz tensed a little bit at this and wrapped her arms tighter around my waist. I pulled her closer to my chest and continued. "It had been about 3 days when Paul found me. He had smelled my blood and knew that I was deathly ill. He was a doctor at the time so he came to me. He told me that it would hurt, but it was the only way to help me. At that point I didn't care. I just wanted to live. So I let him bite me. The pain was worse than anything you could possibly imagine but it was over after mere seconds. And that's how I became a vampire." I finished and looked at Liz.

Liz-But I didn't feel any pain when I changed.
Joe-I sucked too much of your blood for you to be in pain. And I'm so sorry.

She covered my mouth and straddled my lap.

Liz-Stop apologizing. You have nothing to apologize for. Now let's get home and get some sleep.

I nodded and picked her up.

Joe-Race you.

She laughed.

Liz-You're on.

And with that, we ran. She beat me by the way.

1832....hmmm...i think the black plague was in the 1600s...i'm not really sure, i learned about way back in September and now it's summer break. ;D
