  • Everytime I think I am halfway smart, I run across someone like you who figures things out and then has the ability to explain it so well that even a dummy like me can pick it up. I have wanted to play this song correctly for a long time. Thanks so much.

  • Hi Dr,

I learned this today from your video. I will rerecord it, but wanted to try my first video to post. I tried it on my acoustic and my electric. So I went with the electric for something different. Still working on the drop down on the high E 13, 12th and 11th fret. But my first try so wanted your opinion on touch, tone and how this could work on an electric as it sounds less like that bluegrass sound I have always enjoyed. Yes, I like to experiment.

  • hello and i really enjoyed your post! Great to hear you've been playing this song for a good while! Your kind words are greatly appreciated and i just wish we could pick it together......great old tune! All the best,

    dale
