Idea TV- Grocery shopping lists help children in early reading, art and math

Idea TV, a new series of 42 one-minute vignettes for child care providers and parents, explores ways that everyday events and objects can be turned into learning experiences. The series was created by Detroit Public Television (DPTV) for the Early Childhood Investment Corporation's Great Start Child Care Quality Program.

The vignettes cover a wide range of topics, including developing naptime rituals that work, helping kids become problem-solvers, creating fun counting games, and learning how to pass time spent waiting in a line by engaging children in fun games.
