...firstly that isnt very big. aus rays r huge. ive swam with rays heaps of times and they r placid. u can get close to them and even touch them. for the 2 minutes of footage steve irwin was trying to get he probably had to follow that thing around for half an hour, harrassing the animal and sticking a camera in its face. probably why he got attacked. they r placid but like most animals they hav a limit to how much shit they'll put up with

Sting Rays R not harmful unless you're extremely unlucky. That sting ray is small compared to Australian standards we have ones with 3 to 5 meter wing spans. Stingrays have a barb tail & there R manta rays which R huge & R harmless (no barb). What happened to Steve Irwin was a fluke, There have been less that 10 reported deaths because of sting rays in the last 50years which means you have bigger chances of dying by choking on a chicken bone or getting shot or being hit by lighting.

two things one i would have laughed my ass of if that shrip craped in his mouth at 1:57 and two sting rays barbs are at the base of the tail not the end dumbshit it will only prick you if you grab the tail thank you to those who read this and good night
