With unemployment rates at their highest levels since 1983, obama seeks to increase more taxes on small businesses. Socialism is a failure in the world, but the left have never learned that. Marrying incompetence with ideology is what the voters elected. FAILURE!

Hey, remember that time when Carbon markets collapsed in Europe? Before the US adopts the silly cap-and-trade "market" approach to curbing carbon emissions, perhaps we should see what the recession has done to the European carbon market. The EU has spent a lot of money rediscovering the laws of supply and demand in this recession. Instead of making carbon emissions a scarcity, the economic collapse has created a glut of indulgences... All of which has set off what Julian Glover calls the "Great Pollution Fire Sale". He blames the EU for being too generous in its allocation of carbon credits, but the allocation was calculated during economic growth. The EU wanted to make sure that the cap-and-trade system didn't interfere with the economy, and so made sure that the energy producers didn't get disincentivized enough to create artificial energy shortages that would have stalled growth.

obama clearly said during his campaign that his plan would hurt the coal industries. obama's administration is repeating calls for HIGHER energy costs just as obama did during his campaign.

Free markets don't stand a chance when legislating higher tax increases on production. That IS socialism.

whice mean the gov will set a limit on emissions and to go over that limit you have to buy credits through an auction

we already have caps in emissions on cars and if you dont pass the test you have to go pay ti get it fixed so you can thats not socialism so why is it now

and i was watching fox the other day and the expert they had on said noone knows how much it will rise, it depends on how much the companies think the credits are worth at auction

The higher taxes are needed to fill the gaps left on the budget do to the vast overspending on their socialistic programs.

There is no point in taxing carbon based energy sources to reduce usage when there is no alt. energy source available. Consumer usage will more than likely not decrease in the least, In reality, americans are just giving their hard earned dollars right into the pockets of politicians which will just screw the people in that it is giving government more power to come up with more scandalous bills and expand.
