An excellent montage. But I gotta admit, I dislike the last song for this montage and the 2009 montage. I feel the songs are just too popular with trailers already.

Taken came out February 2008 in Europe.
Defiance came out December 2008 in America.
Both were contenders in 2008's Oscars.

all great movies, but Taken and Defiance came out in January 2009, sure they were made in 08 but yeah, the list is great though

I felt really bad about Slumdog but ultimately it didn't suit 2009.. It just wasn't a 2009 film.

no way, slumdog has to be considered 2008 since it won best picture for that year.
