Also, if Metalcore isn't metal then how is thrash metal considered metal?Think about it.

For one its called metalcore key word METAL.Two if you did your research metalcore is a mix of heavy metal and hardcore punk..Hmmm, Heavy METAL and HardCORE punk....I wonder how they came up with the name.It has metal elements thus making it a metal genre.You don't like it that's fine but to say its not metal makes you ignorant.Also Metalcore and Melodic death can both be very heavy and yet be very soft at the same time.As far as which one is better its all just personal preference.

Haha Metalcore isn't really metal at all
It's a subgenre of hardcore punk
It was invented by some american hardcore bands who wanted to play their riffs more like iron maiden or juas priest

@VittuCOBHC metalcore isn't more brutal than melodeath... like at all. Its generally lighter than melodeath as well (there are a few super light melodeath bands though)
