Ok try to read this description, though I'll try to annotate the video as well

So this is a remix I've been working on for a little while now. I'm thinking about still working on it and might publish a second, possibly improved version. This is one of my all time favorite songs in a video game. The original song was phenomenal for the time being, as they made what should be impossible to make on a 16bit system. If you get a chance compare it to say the main overworld theme to SMW. I still can't believe it.

So anyway when I make a remix, after I'm done with it, I usually check out the other remixes out there of the theme. Be it on youtube, newgrounds, and ocremix. Now I don't really like a lot of the remixes I found of this theme because the original feel is gone. I really don't like the Brawl remix either. That's one of the reasons I left the drums the way the were in the original. I changed some things, not too much though, changed arrangements throughout the remix. It's not the same on the second time around, you'll here it.

So yeah a totally different style than I usually do, more real instruments (there are some synths too), but I like it a lot. I was basically trying some new things out in Fl studio 9 since it's quite a bit different. My last remix was the Splash woman one and that was mostly on Fl studio 8

Come for the ponies, stay for the apes. I love this song, and this remix certainly does it justice. I personally really like the Brawl remix; it brings out things in the original that make it almost a whole new song, more fit for the setting of smashing and bashing. It's actually my favorite song on the Brawl soundtrack. But, that's opinions for you... everyone's got one! :D

One of the best remixes of this song out there though personally not so keen on the main instrument (saxaphone) bit too harsh and the ending is quite bad. Doesn't work. I usually don't bother to comment but I really want to help any way I can as I seriously love this remix.

Yeah I was trying something new, I went for a more new age-ish style. I also didn't want the song to just drop off at the end. It's good to have criticism though, I'll keep this in mind and I might re-do it who knows though

I know what you mean about the 'upscaling' of notes at the beginning--i just tried a long slide with an additive pad, volume low of course...turned out sounding great!
