Folders names cannot be CON, AUX, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, PRN, or NUL.

when making new files, the command out into cmd is copy con. id think the computer will get confused if it was copy con con.

It is a reserved file name for a VERY important file in windows and yes the comment below me is true

It's probably a fix for an old hack on WIndows 95/98 - if you clicked the URL file://con/con in IE it caused Windows to bluescreen.

con stands for console, thats really all i know....
oh yea, you cant name a file prn ether, and prn stands for printer i think
