i'm from iceland also, and often when was in school or mainly school trips, it was often saying, that like elfs hiding under some rocks and.. crap forgot the name.. beetween vík í mýrdal 'n krikjubæjaklaustur, closer to klaustur but yeah, think it's probably just most said to kids when they're young :P dunno if many / any adults belive in it

In Southern tropical parts of Mexico where I am from They exist, they are called Chaneques, many ppl. have seen them, my brother did also when he was little, my grandparents did too...they like to play around, sometimes they hide things from you, but they don't hurt you, unless of course u hurt them...

Hmmm =/ this video seems to ridicule a culture that has lasted for centuries. I do not think many people take Heathen folklore seriously anymore and that, for me, is a great shame...
