This is Part 7 of the series recorded on Jan. 11, 2009
Rabbi Nochem Rosenberg talks discusses problems with the way Rabbi Shmuel Zev Lichter handled allegations made against two teachers at the Krasnov Yeshiva in Williamsburg, NY. He then goes on to explain the crime victim compensation that is available to those who report sex crimes to the police
When a Rabbi tells a victim and the victim's parents to go to the police and seek professional help, he's absolutely right, and I don't care about his "mental state" aside from that. Only the facts matter, and the advice. If the advice is solid, I don't care how disturbed he is otherwise. On the other hand, if this Rabbi is disturbed, then what can be said of all the other Rabbis, who know what is being done to children, and who keep their silence? Are they normal? Are they proper?
