  • Corelli makes everyone else sound ordinary.

  • Seeing all these comments I'm interrogating myself.

    "Are you a normal person?!!!!"

I do think that this version is the greatest ever performed. Is there anyone who thinks the same?

  • why do poverotti fans hate him, he has the most powerful high notes.

  • @Chanteuredelopera I think Bergonzi&Domingo are Lyric spinto tenors at best. The fact that a tenor sings a dramatic role like Otello or Forza does not qualify him as a Dramatic tenor as the previous3tenors you mention. There are tenors in the spinto category that qualify more so than Domingo&Bergonzi to sing the dramatic roles, whom are Martinelli Merli Pertile Piccaluga De Muro Tucker Caruso,Penno,Masini.Gigli was a lyric tenor, that sang Aida Chenier& the dramatic Forza, He still remained a lyric

  • franco corelli, the tenore assoluto.

  • InfernoDaBaka yes i do .

  • @dandefikon Corelli does a D- flat in the terzetto in Trovatore. The Poliuto aria can be found here on YT. FC also has the Hugonotti aria and I Puritani but those hi- notes may be C sharps and not D flats.Volpi has many D flats since he sang everything in original key, like William Tell, Puritani Hugonotti. Volpi had a phenominal voice, especially in the upper register. Enjoy

  • @Chanteuredelopera Domingo&Bergonzi were really lyric spinto tenors. Many tenors do make the transition to more spinto& dramatic roles, possibly to test themseleves or perhaps for the love of the art.Gigli was a lyric tenor, but also had the ability to sing some spinto and dramatic roles like Chenier Forza and Aida. The fact that a tenor sings a dramatic role, does not classify him as a dramatic tenor as a Melchoir or Vinay were dramatic. Enjoy

  • Mon Calaf préféré. Son "cheveu sur la langue" est sexy en diable..... Franco ever the best.

  • Franco Corelli è un interprete magnifico, possiede una vocalità impressionante, una sensibilità unica e poi gli acuti assolutamente ineguagliabili...per lui adopero il presente perchè è difficile pensare che ci ha abbandonati così presto

  • When you hear Kiepura (one of the original Calafs' ) you hear what great

singing is all about and the Vienna Calaf leaves Corelli in the dust .
