what's the difference if you make it go left or right ?? i'm a beginner when it comes to knitting :) they both increase is it for knit vs. purl or something?
If you're doing multiple increases across a row one time, or just increasing by a single stitch, you can use either. If you are increasing twice a row over a series of rows, so that the increases are at the same place in the row, like when you're increasing for a sleeve it makes sense to "mirror" the increases, using one that leans in one direction at one edge, and one that leans in the other direction on the other edge.
