*Two days later, Nick's POV*

Finally. I'm in Italy. I miss her so much. I hope she's ok. I got a cab and went to her fathers new house. I knocked on the door. No response. Oh no! Where is she?! "Excuse me, are you looking for Jayme?" I heard a voice ask. I turned to see an elderly woman. "Yes, I am. My name's Nick." I introduced myself. "Ah, so you're Nick!" She stated. "Jayme told me about you..." "Do you know where she is?" I asked. She thought for a moment. "I'm not sure if it's good for Jayme to see you or not..." She said. I looked at her, confused. But she told me where Jayme was anyway and about her father. I rushed to find her after that.




*Jayme's POV*

I can't believe this. First, I see Nick and Alexcis kissing. And now, I just saw my father die. All in one day. I have no one now. A tear rolled dow my cheek. I drank my latte, and just sat in my father's favorite cafe. What was I supposed to do? I couldn't go back to Sara. She's with Joe. And Joe is Nick's brother. And Nick..well..he doesn't love me anymore. What if he possibly never DID love me? Maybe I was simply his charity case... I sighed and put my head down.




*Nick's POV*

I walked into the cafe, and there she was. She looked so sad. She was so deep in thought, she didn't see me. I watched as she just sighed and put her head down. I walked to her, and sat down next to her in the booth. When she looked up she gasped. Tears welled up in her eyes as she said, "What are you doing here?" "I came here to find you." Her expression became angry. "Why?! You don't love me! I saw you with Alexcis!" I put my hands on her shoulders and looked into her eyes. " Jayme! I love you with all my heart! Alexcis set me up. She set us both up! She kissed me!" She looked away. "But you still love her! I see the way you look at her!" I sighed. "Jayme, Alexcis was my first love. I still have some feelings for her. But I don't love her. Actually I hate her now. But I love you!" She stared into my eyes. I stared right back into her big brown eyes. She finally sighed and look away. "Grr, I can't stay mad at people! Especially you! I believe you. I love you too, Nick." I hugged her. "Jayme....I heard about your dad." "Oh Nick..he cared about me. He did! I feel so guilty! I thought he hated me and abandoned me all this time, but he didn't! He was protecting me!" "Jayme, Im sure your father understood how you would feel that way! Just remember that he loves you!" She started crying. I put my arms around her, and just hugged her while she cried.
