@nandatebayo666 this is a movie. King Solomon had no problem condeming you to death if the case caused for it. But he was ideal for what God wanted when it comes to leading his people. He was a good shepherd. (At least in the beginning of his rulership).
@discoqueen1970 i ment that when i said his wisdom was a gift. It was from God. He was allowed to make a request from God of whatever he wanted. He acted unselfishly and asked to gain insight to rule Gods people. What a beautiful request. He was rewarded with wisdom 2nd only to Jesus Christ.
@itsjustnopinionok actually God told Solomon ask for anything and Solomon only asked for wisdom. So God gave him wisdom and riches. What do they say; Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The power went to his head, he was human after all.
Solomons wisdom was a gift. It was something he did not earn. So, it was easy for him to look out and give great advise and have great judgement when it came to the nations needs. But he did not apply that wisdom to his own life when it came to selecting wives. He wanted what was on the other side of the fence. Women who had no desire to worship the living god or wanted too.
One mistake. A 4th Commandment at 1:57:40 is actually the 5th one :-)). Nice movie though.

Solomons rule was the closest rulership to utopia of any kingdom rulership on earth.
