Classikev is 100% spot on regarding Chee Yun's expression of feeling in her playing. I heard her play Bach on public radio. It was like Bach + I mean I didn't think Bach's work could be played with such emotion. She told the interviewer "I've always thought of Bach as romantic." Wow! I spoke with her briefly after a performance two days ago. She is warm and accessible as you might have imagined. In person she is even more beautiful than she appears in these videos. Greg Gibbs

Excellent!..even though it's just a warm up! Many Asians have been criticized over the decades by western critics as often having superb technique but lacking the deep emotional playing of other top players around the world but this is certainly not the case with Chee Yun's playing. If anything, her emotion is overpowering and projected with passionate force....softly...and/or with vigor.
As the cameraman at the end said (sounds like her husband Gene) "Brava"...
