Farage has criticized the low grade bank clerk Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Union. Farage has accused EU MEPs of betraying their national democracies in allowing the Lisbon treaty to pass.

Farage may not have been a massive threat within the EU because they usually shout him down and in many countries here in Europe Parliament meetings are seldom played on the national airwaves, def not here in Ireland.
However Farage was making great strides in Buckingham, if he was to get elected he would have taken the speaker of the parliaments position, now that is where he can and still could be a massive threat to the pro EU parties with his voice being heard everyday!!

Lets hope he makes a speedy recovery I hope he still gets elected!!

While I agree every incident involving a major politician, critic or man in power should be investigated thoroughly, I think it is far-fetched to conclude on a conspiracy. Banner towing is known as a risky aircraft operation. Also, aircraft accidents, including the small ones, are scrutinised very thoroughly, so it would be very difficult to do sabotage and get away with it.

Unreasonable, at this point, to conclude a conspiracy... but not in the least bit far-fetched; we're not talking about pan-dimensional lizards here, we're talking about the attempted assassination of a figurehead of the UK's anti-EU movement. If there was a chance UKIP could derail England's membership of the EU, then tapping Farage has almost certainly been discussed; political assassinations do happen.

Beef up your security, Mr Farage! Even if this wasn't an assassination attempt you're a thorn in the side of your opposition, and your thorn is getting bigger and bigger as more people listen to you.
